WHAT: In Conjunction With

An art exhibit of some of the best local Independent Artists currently residing in Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, Martin, Monroe and Broward Counties to be held at Artformz Alternative’s gallery space in the Miami Design District. A four person jury has chosen artists of exceptional talent either emerging, mid-career, or established, to showcase during the months of November and December including the December Art Fair Week in Miami.

Just as the title announces “EXPOSED!” will showcase to the community and especially to the Art Fair visiting foreigners an outstanding selection of work being done by our local artists. Artists were invited to submit up to three images for consideration. All original two- and three-dimensional work in drawing, painting, sculpture, video, mixed media, digital techniques, installation or photography is eligible for consideration (no mechanical prints, multiple giclees or reproductions).

Artformz is an artist-run Open Collective that maintains very high criteria and selects artists that have demonstrated a serious dedication to their career. Projects presented at Artformz are specifically designed to provide exposure to these selected artists that otherwise may not be readily available. Artformz has a high profile location in the center of the Miami Design District and has gained a reputation of respect in the community for very strong shows. The gallery’s legacy is less to do with gaining curatorial reputation as with having enabled the artists involved to gain profile and increased opportunity. Artists selected for an exhibition with us in the past have used Artfromz as a stepping-stone to further opportunities as well as making sales and acquiring new collectors. Artformz strives to maintain a strong sense of artistic vision, ambitious approaches to the creation and presentation of work and the willingness to be experimental, combined with a passion for self-development and creative success. Artformz joins a significant global trend in which artists have taken control of the production and presentation of their own work.
