My name is Elena Tejada-Herrera. I am a multimedia artist from Peru. I will be coming to New York for a period of two weeks to create the work for an exhibition. I will arrive the 16th of June and will stay until the 29th of June. The exhibition will grow along with the production of the work.
The work will happen in the streets of Queens during those days. There will be a closing reception the 28th of June. The exhibition will happen at Dean Project in Queen as part of a performance series realized by several artists within the program “Cringe”.
I kindly ask you if anybody is interested in wondering around the city along with me while I produce the work. If you would like to collaborate to record this process with a video camera (I will be bringing one too), and with photographs, I am not able to offer money but your credits will be displayed within the exhibition. Please let me know, I greatly will appreciate it. I cannot offer a monetary compensation, but I can collaborate with you while been in the city. Yeah let me be your worker for those days. It should be fun. My skills include video editing (working mainly with FCP), drawing, painting, making stuff with the hands, I can also participate in one of your performances if you need extra help, I am very shameless for this .

Maybe you saw some of what I did in Peru at El Museo del Barrio in Harlem, during the exhibition: “Actions by artists of the Americas”, that finished last 18th of May; there is a book that the museum issued with the work from that exhibition at their store.
