“BEYOND”

Moka gallery has curetted an enticing new group show entitled “Beyond”. An experience intended to transport the viewers to forgotten locations, situations and memories. A powerful show filled with emotions, textures, colors and incredible energy where the paintings of an emotional impressionist from Colombia , the abstract landscapes of a Polish artist and the '"the anguish of being," of a surrealists Mexican artist are merged together to create a feast to the viewers eyes. With a continuous flow of colorful movement disturbed only by the calmness and sublime brush strokes of two Venezuelan masters, a duet of non-traditional “ciaro-obscuro” and colorful oils all in one composition.

“Beyond” is filled with the magic & mystery of vibrant, almost alive canvases of Chicago pop artist, Isz. Whose paintings provide a counterpart of philosophical thoughts and ideas of a never ending process, explored by the sculptures and installations of well known Venezuelan artist, Aisen Chacin. Here we ponder questions about the end of life as we know it. “Beyond” promises to captivate the hearts and minds of an audience looking for answers or in search of the answer to the real question, “who are we”? These artists will touch you deeply, from life to death, from mind to heart, from yesterday to today by moving every fiber within ourselves and creating space for a new horizon, a new perspective and mostly by opening our hearts to change.

Moka Gallery will also introduce the work of Belgium filmmaker and Video Artist “Geert Wachtelaer” and the USA premier of his experimental video “ Private City ”, an audio-visual investigation as to the nature of the modern city, the nothingness. The position of shots next to one another is intended to create meaning within the audience's mind. The permanent balancing powers which confront us, powers between man and woman, earth and air, faithful and unfaithful, contemporary ('modernisme') and traditional, loyalty and treachery…and especially between passion and emptiness. No man
